Spam protection
  • Protocol: Spam: Here you get a detailed overview of all e-mails that have been classified as spam by the G DATA software. You can call up the latest data status of the software via the Refresh button, and remove all entries marked so far via the Delete button. The actual e-mails in your e-mail programme are deleted in the process. With the On Whitelist button, you can whitelist a marked e-mail and thus generally exclude the e-mail address in question from further spam checks. With the button On Blacklist, you can blacklist a selected e-mail and thus check the e-mail address in question for spam elements.

  • Log: No Spam: Here you get a detailed overview of all e-mails that have not been defined as spam by the G DATA software. Use the Update button to retrieve the latest data status of the software, use the Delete button to remove all entries marked so far. The actual e-mails in your e-mail programme are of course not deleted. With the button On Whitelist you can put a marked e-mail on the whitelist and thus generally exclude the e-mail address in question from further spam checks. Via the button To blacklist button you can blacklist a selected e-mail and thus check the e-mail address in question for spam elements in particular.

  • Edit whitelist: You can use the whitelist to explicitly exclude certain sender addresses or domains from spam suspicion. To do this, click on the New button and then simply enter the desired e-mail address (e.g. newsletter(at)informationsseite.de) in the Sender/Domains field. The G DATA software will not treat e-mails from this sender or sender domain as spam. You can also use the Import button to insert predefined lists of e-mail addresses or domains in the whitelist. In such a list, the addresses and domains must be listed in individual lines one below the other. The format used is a simple txt file, such as can be created with Windows Notepad. You can also export such a whitelist as a text file using the Export button.

  • Edit blacklist: You can use the blacklist to explicitly place certain sender addresses or domains under suspicion of spam. To do this, click on the New button and then simply enter the desired e-mail address (e.g. newsletter(at)megaspam.de.vu) in the Sender/sender domains field. The G DATA software generally treats e-mails from this sender or sender domain as e-mails with a very high spam probability. You can also use the Import button to add predefined lists of e-mail addresses or domains to the blacklist. In such a list, the addresses and domains must be listed in individual lines one below the other. The format used is a simple txt file, such as can be created with Windows Notepad. You can also export such a whitelist as a text file using the Export button.

  • Disable spam protection: Here you can deactivate the spam protection on your computer if necessary, e.g. if you do not have an e-mail programme installed on your computer.

  • More settings: Further setting options for spam protection.
