How to download and install software updates

When a program update is available, you will receive a notification in the lower right part of the G DATA SecurityCenter.

To initiate the update, click directly on the text Program update available!

Make sure that you have closed all other applications on your system beforehand!

Confirm your selection by clicking OK.

The update is downloaded first.

Once the download is complete, a prompt will appear asking if you want to install the update

You may receive a Windows warning that your antivirus program is disabled. In this case you can ignore the warning. After a successful program update your G DATA software will be reloaded.

The update will be installed.

Once the installation is complete, you will receive a prompt to restart your computer. Click RESTART NOW.

After the restart you will have the latest program version of your G DATA software.
