What is VPN Split Tunneling?
This article explains the capabilities of split tunneling for G DATA VPN and how you can use it.
What is split tunneling?
Split tunneling refers to a technology that, while using a VPN, enables the direct communication of targeted data streams without a detour via the VPN. This can improve latency and available bandwidth for some applications.
How can you use split tunneling for G DATA VPN?
To use split tunneling, open the user interface for G DATA VPN and select the corresponding tab ().
Here, set the slider under "Enable split tunneling" to On. You can now add entries via the "Applications" and "Domain" tabs. A direct connection to the Internet is then possible for all entered applications and domains without detouring the data stream via the VPN.
