Termination of the VPN connection

If the G DATA Security Client is installed on a windows PC, there can be terminations of VPN connections.

Such interruptions were reported to us mainly by users of OpenVPN (SSLVPN). The problem can occur when our port watcher monitors the VPN tunnel on port 443, despite the fact that no access to the encrypted data can take place. If this delays the data transfer, the connections sometimes freeze.

In the object selection in the Client, under "Client Settings → Web" enter the endpoint of your connection as "Network-wide web protection exception" (IP or name of the domain). After that, no more disconnections will occur.
